Associated Asphalt publishes 2024 social value report with measurable impact
Associated Asphalt has published its 2024 Social Values Annual Report, setting out measurable outcomes delivered across people, communities, skills and supply chains.
The report demonstrates how social value is embedded into the way the business plans and delivers infrastructure projects, sitting alongside safety, quality and performance rather than being treated as a standalone commitment.
Key achievements in 2024 include:
- Over 4,300 hours dedicated to social value activity, a tenfold increase on 2023
- More than £125,000 invested in social value initiatives, representing a threefold year-on-year increase
- 1,800 hours and £63,000 invested in workforce training and development
- Three apprenticeships delivered at Heathrow, prioritising recruitment from the surrounding boroughs
The report also highlights investment in employee wellbeing, ethical supply chain practices and structured governance through a Social Values Champions Team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
A spokesperson for Associated Asphalt said:
“Social value is most effective when it directly influences how work is delivered. This report reflects our focus on practical action, measurable outcomes and long-term impact.”
The 2024 report provides a clear baseline for future progress, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to responsible infrastructure delivery that benefits people and communities alongside the assets themselves.
The 2025 Social Values Annual Report will be published in Q1 2026.
